Malian born Lassana Bathily attends his citizenship ceremony at the
Interior Ministry in Paris, France. Bathily, heralded as a national
hero, was awarded French citizenship by the government after he saved
several hostages during the January 9 hostage siege at a HyperCacher
market in Paris.
